In a Continuous Inkjet Printer, the creation of ink droplets is constant, and this is controlled by a high-pressure pump vibrating the nozzle with a piezoelectric crystal. 

Primary packaging is the packaging that comes in direct contact with the product itself. Primary packaging is often attractive and colourful referred to as retail packaging. 

The high velocity of CIJ ink droplets makes the long throw distance possible, although the average is closer to 10 mm for legible coding.

• CIJ machine inks are designed to dry fast, so any pause in production often results in dried ink and blocked nozzles. Operators need to clean the print head before they start.
• KGK Jet has developed Nozzle Capping Technology which automatically close the nozzle with gutter, if the printer is not in use.
• This prevents ink getting exposed to external environment and contamination. Since there is no cleaning cycle necessary, you don’t need additional cleaning solvent resulting significant savings for customers. 

The Expiry Date is printed either in DD/MM/YYYY format or MM/YY format.

One of the three methods needs to be selected in advance for calculating the date:

• End of the month: Here the expiry date is set to be the end of the month
• Carry Over: Here the expiry date is carried over to the same date in next month

• Beginning of next month: Expiry date is set to be the first day of the next month.

Yes Variety of products can be printed. But it cannot print products of different sizes in a single go.The setting needs to be changed when the product size changes. So it is recommended to print one size in one go. 

How much ink is consumed in the printing process?

It depends on the number of characters that needs to be printed. More the number of characters more the consumption.

Our printer can print minimum single line to a maximum of six lines. Based on the width and height of the character and also the number of the lines the speed of the message varies

KGK CIJ machine has multi-control (slave function) function, by which customer can control up to 16 units by 1 master.

Check the main supply is there or not.

Check the charge unit is clean If not clean it

Check the gutter slider unit shaft is clean If not clean it. Ink should not be left dry

Check the membrane doom is proper. If any one key is not proper replace it

Check the connections and it is connected to the sensor slot.

Check the solvent level in the solvent tank. If it is less than the recommended level fill it.

Check the ink level in the ink tank. If it is less than the recommended level fill it.

Check the viscosity filling time should not be more than a Minute

Check whether there is a physical ink leakage beneath the pump

Fill the ink in the ink tank up-to maximum level

Kindly check do not change or alter encoder parameter setting in the machine while coding.

Run the bleeding cycle and check the jet is in position

Check whether the earthing is proper.

Check the contrast level is proper

Yes KGK DOD machine are capable of printing 1D and 2D bar code on porous substrate.

Secondary packaging designates the packaging used to group various pre-packaged (Primary packaging) products together.

Oil based ink dries quicker and has strong adhesion properly as compared to water-based ink. With Thermal Inkjet Printer we have Water Based Cartridge whereas All DOD Printers we use Oil Based Inks . With CIJ technology there is no Oil Based Inks and In CIJ MEK and Ethenol Based Inks are used.

Yes Inks have expiry date. When the ink is exposed to air it losses properties of conductivity & adhesion. Especially when it is pigmented its adhesion property when exposure to moisture from the air is more. So dye based inks have more expiry time than pigmented inks.

In view of commercial manufacturing environment KGK inks are designed to dry within milliseconds as they are mainly MEK Based ( Methyl Ethyl Ketone) and has the property of drying faster.
The Water based and Oil based inks which are used in TIJ and DOD Printers get smudged in the Secondary and Tertiary packaging materials.

Using expired inks will clog your printer’s ink system and destroy the printhead components even if it is not opened or exposed to sunlight. So it is not safe to use.

Since pigment ink uses small colour particles that are held in a suspension. Even sealed container oxidation & evaporation of fluid will degrade the ink over time and that is the reason why KGK pigment-based ink has expiry date of six months.
